In triangle PQR, angle Q = angle R=45° and QR = 10 cm.
Find its area.​

From the given informations it is clear that PQR is an isisceles right triangle with QR as hypotenuse. (Since angle Q=angleR= 45°, the third angleP = 180-(45+45)=90 and alsoPR = PQ

If PR = PQ = a then QR = √2.a= 10 cm

So a = 10/√2 cm

So area of triangle PQR = (1/2)(PR)(PQ)

= (1/2)(10/√2)(10/√2)= 100/4 = 25 cm^2.
