Given values:

QR=3 cm and PR-PQ= 1 cm

Solution:

PQ=PR - 1...........[Eq1]

PR2 = PQ2 + QR2

PR2 =(PR - 1)2 + (3)2

PR2 = PR2 -2PR + 1 +9

PR2 - PR2 +2PR = 10

PR=10/2=5 cm

Then by pythagoras formula,

PQ=4 cm

Sin R=OPP/HYP=4/5

COS R=ADJ/HYP=3/5

TAN R=4/3

Answer:

Above is the answer, hope it helps

EXPLANATION :

You are given with one side and the difference of two sides.

Square the difference of the two sides and then substitute the value of the square of the perpendicular. Further take 2PR common and you'll get PR as 5cm, find PQ then find the cosine and sine values of angle P.
