Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

here,

using the property,

PM/MQ = PN/NR

therefore.

6/2 = PN/3

PN= 3×3

PN=9

PR=PN+NR

PR=9+3

PR=12 cm

Given :

PQR is a triangle,

M and N are points on PQ and PR resp.

such that MN  || QR,

PM = 6 cm

QM = 2 cm

NR = 3 cm

To find : PR = ?

Solution :

As we have given that

MN  || QR,

So, using "Basic proportionality theorem", we get that

\dfrac{PM}{QM}=\dfrac{PN}{NR}\\\\\dfrac{6}{2}=\dfrac{PN}{3}\\\\3=\dfrac{PN}{3}\\\\PN=3\times 3\\\\PN=9\ cm

So, PR = PN+NR=9+3=12\ cm

Hence, the length of PR = 12 cm.
