In ΔPQR, Right angle is at Q

Given,

PQ = Base = 12 cm

QR = Perpendicular = 5 cm

PR = Hypotenuse = ??

By Pythagoras Theorem

we know that,

(Hypotenuse)² = (Perpendicular)² + (Base)²

PR² = QR² + PQ²

=> PR² = 5² + 12²

=> PR² = 25 + 144

=> PR² = 169

=> PR = 169

PR = 13 = Hypotenuse

Sin θ = Perpendicular/ Hypotenuse

Sin P = 5/13
