PS/SQ=3/5
or SQ/PS=5/3
SQ/PS+1=5/3 +1
SQ+PS/PS=5+3/3
PQ/PS=8/3
If ST||QR
Then ∆PQR≈∆PST
So, PQ/PS=PR/PT
8/3=28/PT
PT=28*3/8=10.5

Answer:

PT = 10.5 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

ST is parallel to QR

So, S and t is at the same distance on lines PQ and PR respectively

Let PT be x

We are given that PS/SQ=3/5

So, PS/PQ=3/8

ATQ

\frac{PS}{PQ}=\frac{PT}{PR}

\frac{3}{8}=\frac{x}{28}

\frac{3 \times 28}{8}=x

10.5=x

Hence PT is 10.5 cm
