we know that the sum of all angles of a triangle is 180○

therefore,

<X+<Y+<Z = 180○

5a + 72 + 4a = 180○

9a = 180 - 72

a = 108/9

a = 12

<X = 5×12 = 60○

<Z = 4×12 = 48○
