In triangleABC ,IF X and Y are the points on AB and AC respectively such that AX/XB =3/4 ,AY = 5 and YC =9 THEN state ,whether XY and BC are parallel or not

No , the lines are not parallel because converse of BPT says that the parts of triangle are equal then the lines are parallel
