Mrs Slater pinched grandfather’s bureau before they arrival of Mrs Jordan. She got account of it in her own regard along with which she also took his clock and urged her husband to put on her father’s new slippers. Mrs Jordan too had the least bit of concern for her father. Upon arriving in a dark mourning dress late to her sister’s house, she is in no hurry to look at her father and rather suggests they have tea first. She also adds that grandfather’s golden watch had been promised to her son Jimmy.
