Given :-

  • A is applying force of 40 N on East direction .
  • B is applying force of 80 N on West direction .

Solution :-

Here , 80N > 40N

F (net) = Greater force - Smaller force

☞ F(net) = 80N - 40N

☞ F(net) = 40N

So , the body will move on West direction because the force applied is more on West direction with force of 40N on it

Hence , magnitude of force will be 40N and the body will be moving towards West direction .

Given :-

In tug of war team A is applying a force of 40 N along the east directionand Team B is applying force of 8O N along the west direction.

To Find :-

Magnitude

net force in this situation?

Solution :-

We know that,

Where the force is applied more there will be the magnitude

So, The magnitude of the force is in west direction

Net force is the difference between the greater force and the smaller force

Net force = B - A

As B has applied more force than A

Net force = 80 - 40

Net force = 40 N

We know that,

Where the force is applied more there will be the magnitude

So, The magnitude of the force is in west direction
