not possible to have 3 :2 ratio

100/3 kg ( assuming pure iron added)

Step-by-step explanation:

In two alloys aluminum and iron are in the ratio of 4:1 and 3:1

10 kg of the first alloy

=> Aluminum = (4/5) * 10 = 8 kg

& Iron = 2 kg

16 kg of the second alloy

=> aluminimu = (3/4) * 16 = 12 kg

& iron = 4 kg

Let say A kg pure aluminium added

then total aluminum = 8 + 12 + A = 20 + A kg

Iron = 2 + 4 = 6 kg

20 + A : 6 :: 3/2

=> 40 + 2A = 18

=> 2A = -22

=> A = -11

Which is not possible

so let assume question is A kg of iron is added then

20 : 6+A :: 3/2

=> 40 = 18 + 3A

=> 22 = 3A

=> iron is added = 22/3 kg

Total Weight = 10 + 16 + 22/3 = 100/3 kg
