In two sentences, describe how you would feel if you were: (a) a white officer of the East India Company living in 18th century Calcutta. (b) an Indian weaver living in 19th century Calcutta.

a) Um I can't imagine being a white officer. But if I were a white officer then I would find means of gaing more produce without having to give too much.

b) I would have resented the British. But at the same time would have feared them as well; As the British were a foreign power reigning over India at that period of time.
