Let the total quantity of vessel A be 'a' and vessel B be 'b'.

In A;

Amount of spirit = 2a/3     and     Amount of water = a/3

In B;

Amount of spirit = 2b/5    and      Amount of water = 3b/5

A/Q; in new ratio these contains half spirit and half water

So; 2a/3 + 2b/5 = a/3 +3a/5

=>   (10a + 6b)/15 = (5a+ 9b)/15

=>   5a = 3b
