Subject: Regarding the safety of women and children.

Mam/Sir,

                        I would like to draw your attention to rising crimes against women and children that are reported in every newspaper almost every day. People consider women as the weaker sex and hence they are vulnerable to every common crime against them. They are easy targets as the mind-set of everyone is to ignore whatever is happening. Parents fear about a child's safety as they do not trust society.

It's high time we did something for them, like teaching self-defense which is now a necessity.

Schools and colleges should have self-defense classes. Girls should be taught to defend anything that is trying to harm them. This can make them mentally and physically very strong. Girls should be taught to have an alert mind.

Teachers should also try to teach them ways in which they can escape from an attack. They should be given training in martial arts and judo.  

Through this letter, I appeal to you to do something effective on these and take steps in conveying these to the required authorities.
