The Sangam society talks about the life of the Tamil people, who were a part of South India.

-This society was not priest dominated.

-In this society brahmins acted as as ideal priests of the society. There were the ones in charge as chief advisers but other casts too shared the powers.

-They worked in various fields of agriculture, extraction of gems, fishing, trade, etc.

- In this society women were not equal to men.

-Religion played a massive role in this society.

Vedic society:

- There was a tribal and pastoral village situated in Punjab.

-They mainly worked with agricultural and pastoral combination.

The main difference was that in vedic society women were given a high ranking but in the Sangam society women were not given an equal role.
