Answer:

rice =625x

coffee =750y

mixture=(x+y)675

625x+750y=675(x+y)

625x-675x=675y-750y

-50x=-75y

x/y=75/50

x:y=3:2

Proportion is 3 : 2.

Given

To find the proportion for the given data.

Coffee at Rs.625 per kgs be "625x"

Coffee at Rs.750 per kgs be "750y"

To obtain mixture be "(x+y)675"

Coffee at Rs.625 per kgs + Coffee at Rs.750 per kgs = Mixture

           625x   +  750y   =  675 ( x+y )

           625x   +  750y   =  675x + 675y

           625x   -   675x   =  675y  - 750y

                       -  50x  =  - 75y

                          50x  =   75y

                        x : y  =  75 : 50

                                 =   3  :  2

Therfore, the proportion of x : y is 3 : 2.
