Step-by-step explanation:

let the ratio be k:1

By using section formula,

(3,-1) = (6k+2/k+1,11k-5/k+1)

3 = 6k+2/k+1 -1 = 11k-5/k+1

3k+3 = 6k+2 -k-1 = 11k-5

-3k = -1 -12k = -4

k = 1/3 K = 1/3

hence the ratio is 1:3
