Let A divides line segment PQ in x:y.
By Section Formula-
2 = (3y - x)/x + y
2x + 2y = 3y - x
3x = y……..(1)
Ratio = x:y
= x:3x
=1:3
Hence A divides the Line segment in 1:3

Answer:
(x1,y1)=(3,5)
(x2,y2)=(-3,-2)
(x,y)=(3/5,11/5)
ratio = x1-x : x-x2
=3-3/5 :3/5-(-3)
=12/5 :18/5
=12 :18
=2:3
