P(-4,5) and Q(3, 7)

Point on y axis = (0,y) [as it divides the line segment PQ]

NOW,

Let the ratio in which y axis divides the line segment PQ be k : 1

By using section formula

X = m2x1 +x2m1/m1 + m2

X = 1(-4) +3(k)/k +1

0 = -4 +3k

4 =3k

4/3 = k

Therefore, the y axis divides the line segment in the ratio 4:3

Hope it helps!!!

Keep calm and study hard
