Step-by-step explanation:

Mix, say S kg of sugar at Rs.14 per kg to 15 kg at Rs. 20 per kg, or [14S + 20*15]/(S+15) = 18, or 14S + 300 = 18S + 270, or 4S = 30, or S = 7.5

Answer:

Given :- Ratio = 2 : 3 , C1 = 15 kg , C2 = 20 kg and Mean cost Price = Z

Using the alligation rule ,

C2 – Z

=

2

Z – C1 3

20 – Z

=

2

Z – 15 3

∴ Z = Rs. 18 per kg.
