Question :-

In what time will Rs. 25,600 amount to Rs.35,664 at the rate of 37/4 % per annum .

To solve this we need to know :-

S.I = Amount - Principal

S.I = (Principal × Rate × Time) / 100

______________________________________

Given :-

  • Principal = Rs. 25600
  • Amount = Rs. 35664
  • Rate = 9 1/4% = 37/4 %

Now, Finding S.I that is simple interest

S.I = Amount - Principal

= 35664 - 25600

= 10064.

S.I = (Principal × Rate × Time) / 100

 \sf \mapsto \: 10064 =  \dfrac{25600 \times  \dfrac{37}{4}  \times t}{100}

Now the 4 in Numerator of the fraction can be bought to denominator so, let's do that

 \sf \mapsto \: 10064 = \cancel  \dfrac{25600 \times  37  \times t} {100 \times 4}

  \sf\mapsto \: 10064 = 64 \times 37 \times t

  \sf\mapsto \: 10064 = 2368 \times t

 \sf \mapsto \: t  =  \cancel\dfrac{10064}{2368}

 \sf \mapsto \: t = \underline {4.25}

∴ The time required is 4.25 .
