Correct Question :-

In what time will Rs. 6880 amount Rs. 7224, if simple interest is calculated at 10% per annum?

Answer :-

Given :-

  • Amount = Rs. 7224
  • Principal = Rs. 6880
  • Rate of interest = 10%

To Find :-

  • Time (T)

Solution :-

We know that,

Simple interest = Amount - Principal

➩ SI = 7224 - 6880

➩ SI = 344

Simple interest = Rs. 344

So, now we have

  • SI = Rs. 344
  • P = Rs. 6880
  • R = 10%

Substituting the value in formula :-

\sf SI = \frac{PRT}{100}

\sf 344 = \frac{ 688\cancel0 \times 1\cancel0 \times T }{1\cancel0\cancel0}

\sf 344 = 688T

\sf T = \frac{344}{688}

\sf T = \frac{1}{2}

In 0.5 years Rs. 6880 will amount Rs.7224 at the rate of 10% per annum.

◆ We know that,

Simple interest = Amount - Principal

Now substitute the values :-

SI =. 7224 - 6880

SI = 344

Hence, Simple interest Is ₹344.

◆ We also know that,

SI = P × R × T / 100

Now substitute the values :-

344 = 6880 × 10 × T / 100

344 = 68800 × T / 100

344 = 688 × T

T = 344 / 688

T = 0.5 years
