Answer:

t =  \frac{100 \times s.i.}{principal \times rate \: of \: interest}

s.i.= amount-principal

= 70560-64000

= 6560

t =  \frac{100 \times 6560}{64000 \times 5}

refer to the attachment

t = 2.5 = 2 \frac{1}{2} year

After 2 years the amount will be rs 70560.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since, the amount formula in compound interest,

A=P(1+r)^t

Where,

P = principal amount,

r = rate per period,

t = number of period,

Here, P = 64000 rupees, A = 70560, r = 5% = 0.05,

By substituting the values,

70560 = 64000(1+0.05)^t

\frac{70560}{64000}=1.05^t

1.1025=1.05^t

Taking ln both sides,

\ln (1.1025) = t\ln (1.05)

\implies t =\frac{\ln(1.1025)}{\ln(1.05)}=2

Hence, after 2 years the amount will be rs 70560.
