Given :-

  • Principal = Rs 4000
  • Rate = 2%
  • Simple Interest = Rs 400

 \\

To Find :-

  • Time

 \\

Solution :-

❏ As we know that, Simple Interest is given by [ Simple Interest = P × R × T / 100 ] where P , R and T stands for Principal , Rate and Time respectively.

Putting the Values :

⟾⠀⠀Simple Interest = P × R × T / 100

⟾⠀⠀400 = 4000 × 2 × T / 100

⟾⠀⠀400 = 40 × 2 × Time

⟾⠀⠀400 = 80 × Time

⟾⠀⠀400 / 80 = Time

⟾⠀⠀40 / 8 = Time

⟾⠀⠀5 years = Time

________________

Verification :

➞ Simple Interest = P × R × T / 100

➞ Simple Interest = 4000 × 2 × 5 / 100

➞ Simple Interest = 40 × 2 × 5

➞ Simple Interest = 40 × 10

4000 = 4000

Hence Verified

Thus, Time = 5years
