\underline{\underline{\maltese\:\:\textbf{\textsf{Solution}}}}

  • Let Principal = Rs x
  • S.I. = rs 2/5 x
  • Rate of interest = 8% Per annum

Step-by-step explanation:

\underline{\underline{\maltese\:\:\textbf{\textsf{Find}}}}

  • Time required = ?

⟶ \: T \:  =  \dfrac{S.I \times 100}{P \times  R}

⟶ \dfrac{ \frac{2X}{5} \times 100 }{ X\times 8} years

•°• On simplifying the value we got the 5 years.

Given

  • Simple Interest = ₹ 2/5 x (x-Principal)
  • Rate of Interest = 8 % Per annum

To find

  • Time period

Solution

⇾ Let us take Principle as ₹x and then according to the question, the simple interest becomes ₹ 2/5 x, now we have principal, simple interest, rate of interest, we can find the time period formula.

SI = PTR/100

➛ T = SI×100/P×R

➛ T = 2x/5×100/x×8

➛ T = 200x/5×1/8x

➛ T = 5

The required time period is 5 years

Learn more

  • SI = PTR/100
  • R = 100×SI/P×T
  • T = 100×SI/P×R
  • P = 100A/100+RT

⇾ SI - simple interest

⇾ R - rate of interest

⇾ T - time period

⇾ P - principal
