in what time will the simple interest on a certain sum be 3/4th of the principal at 6% per annum

Let the principal be =P
              Interest  I=3P/4
     rate of interest r=6/100
                     time = t years
We have  I=P*r*t
         ⇒ 3P/4 = P*t*6/100
         ⇒  t= 100/8=12.5 years
In 12.5 years the interest will be 3/4 of principal
