let the principal [P] be RS 100

Rate [R] = 6%

Time [T] = ? years

SI= 3/4 of the  principal [P]  RS 100

∴SI= 3/4 * RS 100 =RS 75

∴SI= [P*T*R]/100

or R=[SI*100]/P*R

R=[75 * 100] / 100*6

R=[75 * 100] / 100*6

R=75/6 =25/2=12.5 years OR 12years 6 months

ANS in 12.5 years [12years 6 months] simple interest will become  three fourth of principal at 6% per annum
