P = 1860,  r =9,  I  =2278.50-1860= 418.50   t = ?

I = ptr/100

Or, I x 100 = ptr

Or, t = I x 100/ p x r

Or, t = 418.50 x 100 / 1860 x 9

Or, t = 2.5

So the time is 2 years and 6 months.

<b>Heya mate. (^_-). Solution below.
====================================

[] Given -

Principal (P) = 1860 Rs.

Amount (A) = 2278.50 Rs.

Rate of interest (R) = 9% p.a.

Let the time be T.

[] Now, Simple Interest (S.I),

= P × R × T/100

= 1860 × 9 × T/100

= 16740T/100

[] But, SI

= A - P

= 2278.50 - 1860

= 418.50

[] Then,

16740T/100 = 418.50

=> T = 418.50 × 100/16740

=> T = 41850/16740

=> T = 5/2

=> T = 2.5 years.

•°• Time = T = 2.5 years.

<marquee>Hence, 1860 will amount to 2278.50 at 9% p.a. in 2.5 years.</marquee>
