The femur and the humerus both have the medial and lateral epicondyles, they both have a head where they connect to the body,  they also both have a shaft on the anterior surface. They have bony markings that are alike but not alike, the femur has a greater trochanter and a lesser trochanter, were the humerus has greater and lesser tubercle. The femur has a neck that is larger and can be more distinguished where the humerus's neck is small and can barley be seen.
