Learn Civics, how the government is supposed to run - what it owes you and what you owe it. Vote and become a responsible citizen. Pay your taxes. You get so much for your investment.

When you do volunteer, try to understand why people are disadvantaged. Don’t accept the judgmental reasons. Each person has a biography. Respect it.

Volunteer for a political campaign. Learn what is from the inside. Ask questions. “Why” is important to your understanding of how politics works.

Do nice things for people. You make the community better with a lot of small gestures than adopting grandiose ideas. Be respectful
