Leonardo Da Vinci was the ideal Renaissance man because he was interested in how things work. He was a painter, sculptor, musician, writer, engineer, architect, botanist, anatomist, and an inventor. An ideal Renaissance man strove to master almost every area of study and they excelled in many fields.
