(1) A globe is a 3d model of earth while a map is a flat image of earth or specific places.
(2) A map gives us various details of specific places but a globe doesn't offers that feature.

2) The scale of the globe makes it very untidy and un readable since it is based on large scale whereas map which is based on small scale are neat, readable and provide lot more details than the globe.
3) Globe ia bulky and hard to carry whereas Maps are loose sheets and are easy to carry.

5) Globe occupies large space whereas Maps occupy small space and around 5000 maps can be fit within the same area required by the globe.
