The pericardium is a double-walled sac containing the heart and the roots of the great vessels. The pericardial sac has two layers, a serous layer and a fibrous layer. It encloses the pericardial cavity which contains pericardial fluid
and also rib cage protects heart and lungs...
also by eating good cholesterol..

The heart is well-protected because the heart is located in the chest between the lungs.

It is exactly behind the sternum and above the diaphragm. So we can say that it is surrounded by the pericardium. Further lungs are surrounded by ribs bone so overall our heart is protected from ribs, lungs, and diaphragm.

The walls of the heart also contain cardiac muscles which support its structural features.
