aritifical kidney is done by dialysis process...it is man made device to replace if both kidney failure.the device will be implanted in the abdomon and is empowered by the heart is desinged to filter the blood and perform other kidney function ,helps in controlling bp,production of hormones etc..

Kidney just our original kidney when we were born we had this kidney from birth time only, and the artificial kidney refers to to the kidney at adolescence or adult stage when people used to smoke or by some affect their kidney get damage, so for living doctor if if possible then they used to make the artificial kidney and fix that kidney In human being by which they can survive up to two or three years or as dependent upon that kidney, that how much year that kidney would survive in that humans body.
note :---- but artificial kidney never go along like a permanent kidney.
