the raw materials that a plant needs is light,Carbon Dioxide and Water ...
Carbon Dioxide is taken in by the plants through stomata whenever there is need of it . the plants exchange gases through leaves.roots .lenticils. green young stems ..etc...

water on the other hand is absorbed by the roots, leaves, etc....

Photosynthesis also uses light from the sun but the raw materials are water and carbon dioxide. Green plants make their own food by the process of photosynthesis. Chlorophyll, the green pigment found in chloroplasts, traps light energy from the sun.
