Raman was a different from other Indian Scientists in many ways for example- he gave the theory of light scattering and also he was a Noble prize holder. In 1917, he left the government service and started a job as a physics professor in Calcutta University. During this period, he also continued his research in IACS. This period was a golden era for him where he published his journal and reported the "discovery" of "Raman Effect".
