2) fishing-
They know to fish in general head shallower and feed on a rising tide, and pull back out to deeper water as it falls. ... The Farlex dictionary calls tides, “The periodic variation in the surface level of the oceans and of bays, gulfs, inlets, and estuaries, caused by gravitational attraction of the moon and sun.”

1) Swimming:

Swimming in the water is directly related with the tides because if we swim against the direction of tide then the water resistance will increase and more efforts will be necessary for an efficient swimming pace. But if we swim in the direction of the tides then less amount of efforts will be necessary for an efficient swimming pace.

2)Fishing:

The direct fishing from large water bodies such as rivers, oceans etc ,is dependent on many circumstances.

One of those circumstances is the tide of that water body.

Some fishes travel in the low tide while some fish travel in the high tide and the fishermen try to capture those fishes in the necessary tides.

But extremely high tides are also dangerous and that's why fishermen mostly avoid the extremely high tides.
