As a gallerist it has not been difficult to convince tribal artists to showcase their work in art galleries in metro towns and cities. In fact, these artists were looking for a platform to showcase their work and earn a living out of their skills. Unfortunately, many tribal art forms have died owing to lack of patronage. The impetus to start dedicated art gallery was to sustain, promote and nurture tribal art and artists. Today several artists are showing their work, not just in India but also travelling abroad with their art shows. This is an incredible development that needs to be applauded.
