Various ways in which exploitation of resources proves to be a threat on the earth life support are as follows.

Loss of Biodiversity

Each species plays an important part of the ecosystem, by specializing in their own functions. However the extinction of various species had severly disturbed the ecological balance of the ecosystem in the past few decades.

Unsustainable Agriculture

Most of our farming has disturbed the balance of nature in recent years, which placed a lot of pressure on Earth’s life support systems. Modern-day farming usually comprises a monoculture, harmful fertilizers and artificially grown crops had drives nature to unstable ecosystems.

Deforestation.

During the last century, most the global forest protection has been dropped.  Deforestation is severely reducing the Earth’s capacity to provide oxygen which purifying the air, preventing soil erosion in farmlands which is reducing day by day due to loss of forests over the large scale.
