during rig veda the books written were simple. and in sanskrit. they usually crammed with hyms praising gods and goddess.todays books are hardly ever found in sanskrit. they deal with common human affairs, mythology and fiction has merged into one

The books we read today are printed but the rigveda was remembered and recited rather written.
