#1•The revolt marked an end to the rule of the East India Company and the adminstration was taken over by Queen Victoria in 1858.

#2•The board of control and Directors were replaced by the Secretary of State.

#4•The Governor General was given the title viceory and he was made subordinate to the Secretary of State.

Some important changes were introduced after the revolt to prevent the occurence of another such revolt.
