Explanation:

The main forms of precipitation include drizzle, rain, sleet, snow, graupel and hail. Precipitation occurs when a portion of the atmosphere becomes saturated with water vapor, so that the water condenses and "precipitates"

Answer:

Water is continuously moving in a cyclic manner from the surface of the earth to the atmosphere and back to the surface. The water from oceans and other water bodies evaporates due to the sun's heat and goes into the atmosphere as water vapour. This water vapour upon reaching the upper layers of air cools down and condenses to form clouds.Clouds cause precipitation and the water ultimately comes back to the earth as rainfall or snowfall. Some of it percolates down of it is absorbed by plants. Most of the water falling on the land flows down to rivers which again drain into the oceans .A lot of rain also falls directly into the oceans.Evaporation starts all over again and the cycle continues .This cycle of evaporation, condensation, and precipitation is never-ending and is called the water cycle or the hydrological cycle..
