Federalism is a system of government in which the power is divided between the central authority and various constituent units of the country usually, a federation house to levels of government one is the government for the entire country that is usually responsible for a few subjects of common National interest the others are the government at the level of provinces of states that looked after match of the day today administration of their states both of these levels of government enjoy their power independent of other in the unitary system either there is only one level of government or others are the subunits of subordinates the central government the central government can pass any loss to the provincial on the local government but in a federal system the central government cannot order the state government to do something the state government has its own power for which it is not answerable to the central government but both of these governments are separately answerable to the people
