Yes, they are using our resources because
a) we have them in relative abundance
b) they are currently not being used to their full potential by domestic firms
c) we allow them to.
These resources are converted into goods and services. While they do make us "pay" for them, please remember, we derive benefit from using them as well.
MNCs are contributing to making our markets varied, competitive and efficient. As consumers, we have a wider range of choices at competitive prices.
Have you noticed that we find it increasingly difficult to ask our relatives/friends to get us something when they go abroad (except chocolates, I guess)? Thanks to MNCs, we have almost everything right at our doorstep.
One year after I was born, the Indian economy opened. I have not seen those years when many things were imported, expensive, and hence rarely afforded. I am assuming from your question that you haven't seen those years as well. If it wasn't for the MNCs, we would be seeing them alright.
Apart from a wide range of goods, MNCs bring in employment, development of human resources, and with that, prosperity. We view MNCs as completely foreign entities (and the consequent distrust arises from our recent history), however, today many Indians are managers, heads, CEOs and of course, shareholders of many MNCs. We are very much a part of the term "multi-national".
If nothing else, MNCs can and should bring us a vision of developing our own firms to that level. Perhaps we would not be so paranoid of MNCs if a considerable number had Indian origins.
While I strongly feel that MNCs, no matter how powerful, should be accountable for their impact on communities and environment, I also acknowledge that they have brought real, and many positive, changes in our lives.

Question :
In what ways has competition affected workers Indian exporters and foreign MNCs in the garment industry ?
Answer :
Competition has severely affected Indian exporters under the following parameters :
1. Due to advancements in Science and Technology, Foreign MNC's are developing new ways of technology under garment industry for better production of goods. Indian exporters cannot bring these type of technologies due to some reasons and the garment industries are not flourishing due to this reason.
2. Foreign MNC's have skilled labour that moulds with the modern technology to produce high quality of goods in order to get flourished in the market.
3. Indian exporters have semi - skilled or partially- skilled labour's which work at their own pace taking their own time and do not have a vast knowledge about modern technology.
4. Foreign MNC's produce a large amount of goods in excess quantity which is sent to the market over almost all the places. But Indian goods are not in excess and the goods are transported to only certain areas from where they can earn money.
These parameters affect Indian competition and it's exporters which certainly brings down the Indian market.
