Industries liberate toxic substances as byproducts. These toxic substances like sulphur, CO, Co2, etc are good at trapping the Radiations and heat coming from the sun, which results in increase in temperature of the earth and then global warming.... Also it leads to acid rain when molecules like sulphur di oxide, etc are formed and when they combine with rain to make the rain water toxic and acidic hence forming acid rain. Also O2 molecules combine with an oxygen atom to form Ozone molecule which depletes the ozone layer

really the environment is a complex system by its nature i.e it has water, air, soil etc,so as industrialisation increases we begun to use so more energy to drive machines and we may built factories and buy many private cars flooded .this in turn have its side effects such as:
1, CFCs (chlorofloro carbons) release-as factories expanded they release so many cfcs which highly pollute our env't i.e air we breath (atmosphere).
2,dry wastes like plastic and pieces of metals, woods -these wastes pollute the env't highly by preventing water from getting absorbed by soil. on the other hand it causes soil pollution.
3,liquid wastes like polluted water from factories affect the water bodies highly as they contain chemicals and cause biodiversity loss.
