Answer: Exhaled air is different in composition to the inhaled air due to the following reasons :
1) The air which we inhaled are the mixture of nitrogen and oxygen. Our body only need oxygen so oxygen is taken by the cells.
2) The air which we exhaled are the mixture of nitrogen and carbondioxode. Carbondioxode is produced during respiration of cells.
Exhalation occurs due to increase in air pressure while inhalation occurs due to decrease air pressure.
