- Officially, secularism has always inspired modern India. In practice, unlike Western notions of secularism, India's secularism does not separate religion and state. The Indian Constitution has allowed extensive interference of the state in religious affairs. India does partially separate religion and state.

Indian secularism is different from other countries because they are having a particular religion in dominance and those people who are following other religion in their countries are considered as minorities and due to this, sometimes they are not able to get justice. For example, USA, UK, etc.
