IF u mean how can we use the salt-water (because, ultimately, by evaporation, it loses its salt and provides us, by way of rain, all our fresh water ), apart from harbouring all marine life, providing cheap oceanic transport ( being denser it supports more weight ), entertainment(water sports ) i will mentioin one specific project we have completed recently: cooling water for M/s RSPLs plant at Kuranga, near Dwarka. One can add several other uses, like tidal power stations, being a vast storage for all our effluents and effectively diluting them etc etc
