Difference between farming and keeping animals :-

Farming -
Farming is the activity of growing crops and raising animals by people for food and raw material. Farming is a part of agriculture. This was started thousands of years ago, but no one knows for sure how old it is. The development of farming gave rise to the Neolithic Revolution whereby people gave up nomadic hunting and became settlers. Farming is not only growing food for humans and animals, but also growing other things like flowers, fruits and nursery plants, fibers (cotton, wool, hemp, silk and flax) and drugs (opium and marijuana).

Keeping Animals -
Animals that live under human care or captivity is known as keeping animals. Captivity can be used as a generalizing term to describe the keeping of either domesticated animals (livestock and pets) or wild animals. Animals that are
used for food, services, non food or religious purposes or just as a hobby can be considered as keeping of animals.
