Warren Hastings, the chief Governor-General interjected various governmental improvements, particularly in the province of justice. The British colonies were essentially subdivided into organizational assemblies described as Presidencies. Each Presidency was governed by a Governor. Every community had two places for justice, especially a criminal court and a municipal court.

The administration of British was based on logical interpretation who tried to build the administrative system on the pattern of European administration but the Indian rulers highly focus on the religion as a major factor for government dominance.
