The Ptolemy world map is associated with Hellenistic civilization in the 2nd century. It is based on the information carried in Ptolemy's text of Geography, which was written c. 150. His map was based on an engraving in various of the eldest surviving documents.

Moreover, the British map is relevant to the present map and basically made in order to get the information about the different parts of India so as to acquire more wealth because it was very difficult to navigate vast lands of India without maps.
